Alba Dorlesky Miles Rasmussen, 93; of Grace, Idaho passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at the Caribou Memorial Living Center in Soda Springs.

Alba was born on January 16, 1918 the daughter of Joseph Daniel and Elsie Ann Johnson Miles in Niter, Idaho.

She was a lifelong resident of Caribou County. After she graduated from High School she obtained her nursing certification.

Alba married Clem Rasmussen on August 15, 1935 in Preston, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple on December 18, 1940. Clem passed away July 5, 2002.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had served in various callings including Counselor in the Relief Society presidency and as a visiting teacher.

Alba was also a member of the L.P.N. State Association.

She enjoyed music, Piano, reading, knitting, crocheting, and stamp collecting.

She is survived by three sons and two daughters, Royce and Sharon Rasmussen of Elmo, UT; Lloyd and Linda Rasmussen of Grace, ID; Craig and Cheryl Rasmussen of Soda Springs, ID; Carol JoAnn Call of Downey, ID; Debra and Max Hemmert of Soda Springs, ID. Also surviving are 24 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren and one brother Farrell and Pam Miles of Brigham City, UT; and one sister Ruth Bennett of Grace, ID. She was preceded in death by her husband, and infant brother, Clarence, infant sister Alzina, a brother Lowell Miles and a grandson David Robert Rasmussen.

Services will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Grace LDS Stake Center. The family will meet with friends on Monday evening from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home in Soda Springs and on Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Stake Center prior to services. Burial will be in the Thatcher Cemetery.
