Alicia Jo DeLong, 18, of Grace, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2008 at the Caribou Memorial Hospital in Soda Springs, Idaho. She was born February 20, 1990 at Logan, Utah, the daughter of Les and Alice Sadorus DeLong.
Alicia was raised and educated in Grace and would have graduated from Grace High School and the LDS Seminary program this year. She was the Senior Class President and served on the student council. She had many years of dance, was on the drill team and was a cheerleader.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had served in many presidencies and was currently the Laurel Secretary. She had attended 4 years in Seminary.
Alicia enjoyed doing hair, taking pictures, texting friends, reading, and boating, camping, being with family and friends, riding the 4-wheeler and had just got her car and was very excited about it.
She is survived by her parents of Grace, grandmother Elsina DeLong, Washington, UT; 2 brothers and 2 sisters; Jesse and Crystal DeLong, Preston, ID; Jacob and Christina DeLong, Pocatello, ID; Patricia and Kelly Lloyd, Preston, ID; and Melissa and Brian Hooley, Dallas, TX. Also surviving are 14 nieces and nephews and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, James (Jim) DeLong; George and Christine Sadorus; great-grandparents Harry and Jeannett Peterson, and three other sets of great grandparents and a cousin.
Funeral services were conducted on Friday, May 2nd at Noon at the Grace LDS Stake Center with Bishop Kirt Larson officiating. Burial Was in the Thather Cemetery. The family suggests donations be made to the Grace School District Office for a scholarship in Alicia's Name.
