Allen Lee Munro, 58; of Soda Springs passed away Sunday, August 14, 2011 in Chanel View, Texas.

Allen was born February 7, 1953 in Soda Springs, Idaho the son of Orren Otto and Norma Lee Wallace Munro.

He was raised in Soda Springs and graduated from Soda Springs High School. He also joined the United States Army and served until 1978.

Allen married Vickie Osterling on September 20, 1975 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

He enjoyed hunting, guns and spending time with his children, grandchildren and his family.

Allen is survived by his wife Vickie of Soda Springs, ID; three sons and one daughter, Ben and Kym Munro of Channel View, TX; Albert and Amberlyn Munro of West Jordan, UT; Kevin and Sheena Munro of Channel View, TX; Lisa and Joshua Tadd of Logan, UT. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, his mother Norma L. Munro of Mesa, AZ; a brother Kenneth Munro, and four sisters, Jayleen Johnson, Julie Larsen, Nadine Baker and Chris DiLeberti. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

Services will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Soda Springs LDS 5th Ward Chapel (361 South 3rd East). The family will visit with friends on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home and on Thursday morning from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at the Church prior to services. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs.
