Allyn Frank Hobbs, 65; of Grace passed away on February 15, 2012 as result of an automobile accident. He was born on March 19, 1946 in Baker, Oregon the son of Floyd J. and Bessie Sedalia Dexter Hobbs. Allyn graduated from Riverside High School in Boardman, Oregon and furthered his education at the Oregon Institute of Technology. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from September 1965 to February 1969. He served in Vietnam from 1968 to 1969 in the Civil Engineering Unit and was awarded a commendation medal. Allyn married Glenda Marie Dunn on May 12, 1967 in Rancho Cordova, California. He loved his family and also enjoyed the outdoors, automotive mechanics, exploring back roads and sports. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Marie of Grace, ID; and one son, Donald Eldon Hobbs of Thailand; and one daughter Shelley Marie and Chad Francom of Salt Lake City, UT; and four grandchildren, Tanner, Haylee, McKay and Lia Francom. He is also survived by three brothers, Daryl Hobbs, Lynn Hobbs and Byron "Barney" Hobbs; and three sisters Vicky Mesteth, Jyl Hobbs and Becky Gregory. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bessie Sedalia Dexter Hobbs, his father Floyd J. Hobbs, his stepmother, Gladys Irene Hughes Hobbs and one brother, Lyle Dexter Hobbs. Services will be held on Monday, February 20, 2012 at Noon at the Grace LDS Stake Center. The family will visit with friends on Sunday evening from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home in Soda Springs and on Monday morning from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Stake Center prior to services. Burial will be at the Turner cemetery.
