Amy "Ann" Annabel Seifert, 87; of Soda Springs passed away Sunday, May 20, 2012 at the Caribou Memorial Living Center in Soda Springs.
Ann was born July 17, 1924 in West Salem, Illinois the daughter of Orlando Grigsby and Mabel Elizabeth Leipold Roland.
She was raised and educated in West Salem and graduated from West Salem Community High School in 1942. Following graduation Ann began working at Kroger Grocery Store working her way up to manager.
Ann married Lowell G Seifert on February 9, 1947 in the First Methodist Church in West Salem, Illinois. He passed away on April 16, 1985.
Having been in construction since their marriage, they were on the move constantly. they moved west from Illinois living in Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Arizona and Utah. They also lived in Fusigasaga, Columbia, South America and Girardot, Columbia, South America.
Ann was a member of the First Methodist Church. She had also been active in the Job's Daughters, Soda Springs Golf Club and PTA.
She enjoyed golf, bowling, reading, fireworks and parades. She loved family get-togethers and trips with family and friends. She also enjoyed being with her grandkids and playing cards.
She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn and DeVaughn Smith of Soda Springs, ID; Christine and Quinn Gentry of Soda Springs, ID. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and two sisters, Ivalu and Gene Thompson of Oceanside, CA and Marie and Willard Lemke of Seattle, WA. She was preceded in death by her husband Lowell, a brother Russell Roland.
Services will be on Friday, May 25, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Sims Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends on Friday morning from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs.
