Obituary

Anna Elizabeth Hamblin, 85, of Soda Springs passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at her home in Soda Springs.

Anna was born on August 1, 1927 in Blackfoot, Idaho the daughter of Everett Hicks and Hattie Ann Bennett Hines.

She lived in Blackfoot, Idaho until age six when her family moved to Soda Springs.

Anna graduated from Soda Springs High School and attended Idaho State University.

She married Dewayne Hamblin on June 7, 1948 in Paris, Idaho. They have lived in Soda Springs for the past 79 years and spent the winters in Apache Junction, Arizona for the past 21 years.

She was very active in the Soda Springs Presbyterian Church.

Anna worked as Assistant Cashier at First Bank & Trust of Idaho retiring after a 35 year banking career.

She enjoyed camping, quilting, traveling and the bridge club.

Anna is survived by her husband Dewayne of Soda Springs, ID, and two sons Barry and Bonnie Hamblin of Dallas, TX, Brett and Pat Hamblin of North Ogden, UT, and one daughter Barbara and Pete Lange of Seattle, WA. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and one brother Bob Hines of Otis, OR. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Bill and Dean Hines and two sisters, Donna Minton and Veda Schufeldt.

Services will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church in Soda Springs (109 South 1st East). A public visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs.
