Obituary

Blanche Arlene Barney Alleman, 93, of Thatcher, Idaho passed away on Monday, September 16, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family.

Arlene was born on July 5, 1926 in Lewisville, Idaho the daughter of Wells and Blanche Lorene Fife Barney.

She married Arvel Edwin Alleman on June 23, 1948 in Idaho Falls at the LDS Temple. Arvel passed away on July 15, 2013.

Arlene had lived in Montpelier, Idaho for 8 years and Stevensville, Montana for 10 years and has lived in Thatcher, Idaho for the past 54 years.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had served as Relief Society President and also had served in the Primary and Sunday School.

She cared for people as a Registered Nurse for over 35 years and 20 of those years were at the Caribou Memorial Hospital in Soda Springs.

Arlene enjoyed reading and loved flowers and playing games. She also loved seeing her family gathered together.

She is survived by two sons and three daughters, Gerald and Jolene Alleman of Thatcher, ID, Boyd and Susan Alleman of American Fork, UT, Delaine Peterson of Pleasant Grove, UT, Peggy Alleman of Thatcher, ID and Marilyn and Scott Szabo of American Fork, UT. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren and a sister, Shirley Rosen of Smithfield, UT. She was preceded in death by her husband a brother, sister, a daughter and a grandson.

Services will be held on Saturday, September 21 at 11 a.m. at the Thatcher/Williams Ward Chapel in Niter. Family will visit with friends on Saturday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Church prior to services. Burial will be in the Thatcher Cemetery.
