Beth Beus, 76, of Soda Springs, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at home. She was born on November 7, 1931 at Grace, Idaho. The youngest of seven children, Beth was the daughter of George and Alta Gummersall. Beth was educated in Soda Springs where she lived for the majority of her life.
In 1949, she married George Moyer and together they had two daughters, LaNae Call and Karen Schrand. They later divorced. Beth married Lynn Beus in 1956 in Elko, Nevada and they made Soda Springs their home where they farmed and raised sheep. Lynn passed away on January 4, 1986.
Beth lived an active life and enjoyed staying busy. For seventeen years she owned and operated the Enders Hotel and Café, and later managed the Henry Store. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, and watching basketball.
She is survived by two daughters, LaNae Call of Winnemucca, NV, and Karen Schrand of Blackfoot, ID; three step-sons, Doug Beus of Evanston, WY, Dallas Beus of Mountain Home, ID, and Jerry Beus of Soda Springs. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn Beus, two sisters, Eileen Boyle, and Elaine Climer; four brothers, Jack, Mark, Howard, and Don Gummersall, a step-daughter, Marcia Manda, and a great-grandson, Curtis Call Kofoed.
Graveside services were at 1 pm. at the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs on Monday June 16, 2008.
