Betty Aileen Bridge Ainsworth, 90, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 in Soda Springs, Idaho.
She was the first of two children born on October 13, 1925 to Heaton and Annie (Allen) bridge in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Betty graduated from West High School in 1942. In July of 1945 she met her husband Jack Lester Ainsworth while he was on leave from the Army. The couple was engaged three months later and married on June 12, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They were blessed with three children and eventually made their home in Twin Falls, Idaho where together they managed the Weston Inn Best Western from 1967 to 1998. Jack Passed away in 1984.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many different capacities throughout her life.
Betty was also a very accomplished and community minded woman. She was Idaho's Business and Professional Women's Foundation President in 1985. She received The President's Volunteer Service Award, and was a member of the various organizations. Such as Daughters of Utah Pioneers, Caribou memorial Hospital Auxiliary in Soda Springs.
Betty is survived by one son, Brent (Cathy) Ainsworth, and one daughter Lynda (Denny) Lee, and a son-in-law Dennis Birrell. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Ainsworth and one daughter JoAnn Birrell.
Services will be held on Friday, September 30, 2016 at Noon at the Soda Springs 1st Ward Chapel (361 South 3rd East). Family will visit with friends on Thursday evening from 7-8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home and on Friday morning from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Church prior to services. Interment will be on Saturday at Noon at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
Betty will be missed by her family, friends and community, but are comforted in knowing she is with God.
