Beverly Shurtleff, 73; of Soda Springs passed away on Monday, August 27, 2012 in Soda Springs at the Caribou Memorial Hospital. Beverly was born July 17, 1939 in Montpelier, Idaho the daughter of Loran Henry and Helen Maryette Hansen Bassett. She attended Soda Springs High School. She married Larry Shurtleff on February 25, 1961. He passed away on July 15, 1987. Beverly was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She enjoyed painting, all kinds of handiwork, gardening, quilting and especially cooking. Beverly is survived by her loving son Jerry Shurtleff of Soda Springs and four grandchildren, Jessica Avila, Courtney Marie Moore, Brady Trevor Shurtleff, Kaitlin Alyse Shurtleff, and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four brothers, Ted (Judy) Bassett of Soda Springs, ID, Dee (Pat) Bassett of Grace, ID, Curtis (Sue) Bassett of Soda Springs, ID, Shuell (Pauline) Bassett of Soda Springs, ID, and two sisters Jeraldine (Bill) Bowen of Soda Springs, ID, Connie (Van) Christensen of Preston, ID. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Larry K. Shurtleff, a daughter, Connie Dee Shurtleff Keller, two brothers, LaVell Bassett, Alvin Bassett, one sister, Wendy Bassett. Services will be held on Friday, August 31, 2012 at Noon at the Sims Funeral Home in Soda Springs. The family will visit with friends on Thursday evening from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and on Friday morning from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs. Listen to service:
