Obituary

William "Bill" Alma Hogan, 77, of Soda Springs, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2008 at home. He was born June 14, 1931 at Hatch, Idaho the son of A. Nelson and Elizabeth Lloyd Hogan. In 1932, they moved to the family ranch in Chesterfield.
Bill was raised and educated in Bancroft, graduating from Bancroft High School in 1949. He also attended Ricks College, BYU and Utah State.
He married Marilyn Maughan, June 8, 1956. They were later divorced.
He married Deanna Baum, Feb 22, 1964. They were later divorced.
Bill married Kathy Manners Jennings on July 27, 1991 in Bend Oregon. They later moved back to Soda Springs where they have since resided.
Bill had worked for Monsanto Co. and was a retired businessman and owner of Hogans Home Furnishings. He also retired as a "Right-of-Way" agent in his later years.
He is a member of the Soda Springs LDS 1st Ward. He had served a two year mission to North Carolina.
He was a member of the American Legion, and he had served in the U S Army and the U S Air Force.
His hobbies included fishing, hunting, rodeos, watching PBR and farming with his friend Doyle.
Bill is survived by his wife Kathy Hogan, Soda Springs; 1 son and 3 daughters; William Bart Hogan, Island Park, ID; Kristi and Mike Monson, Smithfield, UT; Tammy and Bob Neslen, SLC, UT; Angie and Ryan Wright, Ashton, ID; also step-children Kimberly Jennings, Tomball, Texas and Kurt and Candy Jennings, Rocky Point, North Carolina.
Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; 4 sisters; Betty and Tom Berg, Round Rock, TX; Joyce and George Bowles, Lago, ID; Mary Ann and Kendall Yorgason, Preston, ID and Susanne and Pete Eliason, Bancroft, ID.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, September 2nd at Noon at the Soda Springs First and Fifth Ward Chapel, located at 3rd East and 4th So. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs with Military Honors.
