Bill Jorgensen passed away quietly in his sleep on November 20, 2016 at Caribou Memorial
Hospital. He was under the care of his friend Brett Smith, P.A. and Dr. John Franson.
Bill was born to Earl and Erma Banks Jorgensen on October 14, 1942 in Soda Springs, ID, and
he graduated from North Gem High School where he was active in sports. Bill served in the
North States LDS mission, and not long after his return, he met D'Ann Crump on a dare from
Denis Moser at a stake dance. They courted for a short time and married in the Logan Temple
on November 18, 1966. They were blessed with three children while living on the Jorgensen
homestead where Bill helped his dad with the cattle and crops, also working for Monsanto while building a dairy herd of his own. He and his family purchased a dairy in Turner, ID, later
moving to Grace where he lived the remainder of his life.
A man who would give even when he had nothing, Bill loved spending time with his grandkids, and his candy will be missed at Christmastime. If he wasn't found at home, he was probably in
the water or the mountains. He was proud of his garden and yard and spent hours maintaining it
and keeping it groomed. He was a lifetime member of the American Quarter Horse Association
as well as the Holstein Association. He also enjoyed his position as assistant wrestling coach for
several years and served as the Grace 1st Ward Young Men's Basketball coach. He loved
watching rodeos and professional bull-riding
Bill is survived by D'Ann Crump Jorgensen; Connie & Eric Olsen, Three Forks, MT; Todd and Stacie (Leavitt) Jorgensen; Grace, ID; Wendy and Casy Winn, Westmoreland, KS; and eight
grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Carl & (Pat) Jorgensen, and his sister Earllene
Eliason.
He was preceded in death by his baby brother, sister Renea, mother Erma and father Earl.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 12:00 in the Grace, ID Stake
Center. The family will welcome visitors at the Grace, ID Stake Center on Friday from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 11-11:45 a.m. prior to the services.
The family extends its gratitude for the willingness of those who have served
Bill for the past several months.
