Bill spent 3 years in the Navy in Miami, Florida as a hurricane spotter.
A year after his release from the Navy, he enlisted with the Air force as an aircraft mechanic. He loved working on airplanes and retired from the military in May of 1980. Bill was extremely proud of his service to his country. He loved his country and was a patriot in every way.

This union included Linda's three children, Carlinda, Kalani and Carl. Through the years, seven more children were born into the family: Joshua, Amanda, Kordell, Karann, Wilbert (Butch), Emily and Kyle, making a total of 16 children. Bill is survived by his wife Linda, 15 children, 40 grandchildren and 11 great-grand children. He loved his blended family and considered it "one family" where love was what made them a family.

Bill was a hard worker who did everything he needed to support and take care of his family. After retiring from the military he work with two-way radio repair, maintained an A&P license working as an airplane mechanic for United Airlines, and retiring in 2007. He loved shooting, boxing, NRA, cars, and holding his grandbabies. He was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, holding positions of leadership throughout his life.
