Our beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother, Blanche Christensen Hulse, 93; of Grace passed away Saturday, July 31, 2010 with her family by her side at the Caribou Memorial Hospital in Soda Springs.
Blanche was born July 8, 1917 in Central, Idaho the daughter of Ferdinand C. and Elsie Marie Andersen Christensen Jr.
She has lived in Caribou County all of her life with the exception of two years spent living in San Diego, CA during the war. She graduated from Grace High School in 1935.
Blanche married Merrill Weaver Hulse November 7, 1935 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and spent many years of service in ward and stake callings. She served as Stake Chorister for 20 years and had served in the Logan Temple with her husband as officiators.
Blanche enjoyed sewing, cooking, music and she taught piano lessons for over 20 years.
She is survived by her husband Merrill and one son and two daughters, Joe and Linda Hulse of Soda Springs, ID; Marie and Craig Murray of Syracuse, UT; Marilyn and Brock Hurt of Ogden, UT; also a daughter-in-law Diane Roberts of Grace, ID. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren and a sister Laura Miles of Salt Lake City, UT. She was preceded in death by a son, Mark Hulse, two sisters, Verda and Ethel and two brothers Otto and Kenneth Christensen, and 3 great-granddaughters and 1 great grandson.
Services were held on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Noon at the Grace LDS Stake Center. Burial was in the Grace Cemetery.
The family would like to express their appreciation for the wonderful care given to Blanche by the staff at the Caribou Memorial Hospital and Spring Creek Manor.
