Robert "Bob" Dean Stoddard, 80; of Soda Springs passed away Friday, November 20, 2009.
Bob was born November 18, 1929 in Grace, Idaho the son of Elias R. and Mary Leda Whitehead Stoddard.
He was raised in Lava Hot Springs and graduated from Marsh Valley High School.
Bob married Chloe Ann Sands on September 27, 1947 in Hagerman, ID, and they were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple. He was employed by Monsanto Co. for 26 years. They have lived in Soda Springs for over 50 years.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and had served as scoutmaster, Sunday School President, and a youth leader for many years.
Bob was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, archery, fishing, camping and poetry.
He is survived by his wife Chloe Ann and a daughter Cindy and Steven K. Sayre of Tulsa, OK; and a son-in-law Dean L Wood of Sandy, UT. Also surviving are six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Steven Robert Stoddard and a daughter, Patti Dene Stoddard Wood and three brothers, Ray Stoddard, Leon D. Stoddard and Kenneth Harrison.
Services were held on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at Noon at the Soda Springs LDS Stake Center. Burial was in the Grace Cemetery.
