Robert Edward Teichert, Jr. 55, of Grace, passed away Friday, February 27, 2009 at Alpine, Wyoming being caught in an avalanche while snowmobiling.
He was born November 10, 1953 at Ventura, CA the son of Robert Edward and Alice Cook Teichert Sr.
Robert had lived in Ventura, CA for 2 years; Santa Barbara, Ca for 8 years; Grass Valley, CA for 11 years; Phoenix, AZ for 1 year; Norfolk, VA where he went out to sea as a Petty Officer in the U S Navy; he also lived at Redding, CA for 2 years; Lewiston, ID for 3 years and Grace, Idaho for the past 26 years.
He graduated from Nevada Union High School in Grass Valley CA in 1972. He attended Sierra College, Rocklin, CA; Phoenix Technical School, Phoenix, AZ ; Shasta College, Redding CA and received a welding Technology Certificate in 1979.
He enjoyed snowmobiling and skeet shooting.
He was the owner and operator of Long Bluff Stoves in Grace. He was a dealer for Pacific energy Stoves.
Robert is survived by his parents of Grass Valley, CA, a brother Daniel Patrick Teichert, also of Grass Valley CA and 2 sisters; Susan Dorothy Wartburg, Eureka, CA and Lorie Jeanne Teichert Smyth of Sacramento, CA.
Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, March 5th at Noon at the Grace LDS Stake Center, Idaho. Cremation services have been conducted.
