Robert "Bob" Dee Ward, 48; of Soda Springs passed away at the Caribou Memorial Hospital in Soda Springs on Thursday, January 14, 2010.
Bob was born May 5, 1961 in Preston, Idaho the son of Verlon Dee Ward and Karen Olsen Bindrup.
He graduated from Preston High School in 1979 and he later entered the U. S. Navy and was Gunners mate Third Class.
Bob had lived in Preston, ID; Ogden, UT; Chubbuck, ID for 6 years and Soda Springs for the past 7 years.
He married Donna Marie Waters on July 18, 1987 in Ogden, Utah. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on October 27, 1990.
Bob was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was the Deacon Advisor and Scoutmaster for the Soda Springs 2nd Ward.
He owned the Caribou Mt. Pizza & Grill in Soda Springs. He loved supporting the High Schools in the Caribou County at the Half-time shoot out at basketball games and also football games. He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce and had served as President.
He loved working with his scouts and remodeling his house and being a part of the community.
Bob is survived by his wife Donna, and one son and two daughters, Thomas John Ward of Soda Springs, ID; Karina Dee Ward of Pocatello, ID; and Kimberli Ann Ward of Moscow, ID. Also surviving are his parents Dee V. and Connie Ward of Bancroft, ID; and Karen Olsen Bindrup of Wellsville, UT; and his grandparents Robert Odell and Julia Ward of Ogden, UT; and a half brother Shayne and Ursula Bindrup of Hyrum, UT; and a sister Sherry and Jeff Peck of Syracuse, UT; and a half sister Tricia and Travis Womack of Wellsville, UT.
He was preceded in death by his step-father Ray Bindrup and an uncle Brent F. Ward.
Services were held on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at Noon at the Soda Springs LDS Stake Center. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs.
