Braydn Joel Smith, born January 14, 1974, finished his earthly hike on May 11, 2016. Braydn was an avid outdoorsman; hunting, fishing and hiking were his solace. Braydn had a creative, artistic mind and put it to use in a variety of ways throughout his life; a common bond he shared with his oldest niece. Braydn loved his nieces and nephews; he loved to tease them and teach them quirky things like the moving thumb trick. Uncle Braydn was always good for a laugh. Braydn was a loyal friend; he maintained the same friendships throughout the majority of his life and he considered his friends part of his family. Braydn will be missed by so many. Go rest high on the mountain, Braydn; your work on earth is done. Braydn is survived by his parents Deb and Max Hemmert of Pocatello and Joel and Carol Smith of Montpelier. His 4 siblings and their spouses, Megan (Joe) Borich of Tiffin, OH, Trevor (Kay) Smith of Boise, ID, Brooke (Troy) Young of Soda Springs, ID, Gavin (Amanda) Hemmert of Boise, ID. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews, Mykah, Max and Josh Borich, Rylee, Gave and Sydnee Smith, Braxton Gambles and Dawson Young and Keylee, Kamryn and Jace Hemmert. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Clem and Alba Rasmussen, Roy and Lella Smith and George and Lucille Hemmert. Services will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Hooper LDS Chapel in Soda Springs (281 E. Hooper Ave). Family will visit with friends on Monday evening from 7-8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home and on Tuesday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church prior to services. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs. Listen to service
