Buddy "Bud" Leon Norstrom, 81, of Grace, Idaho passed away on August 30, 2018 at his home.
Bud was born on August 10, 1937 in Soda Springs, Idaho the son of Cleo Leon and Roberta Bell Harriman Norstrom.
Bud grew up in Conda, Idaho and attended Soda Springs High School.
He married Lorna Marie Tarbet on September 21, 1957 in Niter, Idaho. They were later sealed in the Logan Utah LDS Temple.
Bud was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had served as Ward Clerk and had a love for genealogy and family history.
He worked for Monsanto for 29 years.
Bud loved when his family would get together for dinners and special occasions. His sense of humor made people laugh. He was a master at practical jokes and teasing. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, reloading shells and tying flies. But over all he enjoyed spending time with family.
He is survived by his wife Lorna Marie Tarbet of Grace, ID, one son, Eric and Stacie Norstrom of Malad, ID, four daughters, Debra and Randy Smith of Grace, ID, Brenda and Michael McEntire of Soda Springs, ID, Cheryl and Dana Darling of Greenfield, Iowa, Karen and Jeffery Jenkins of Richmond, UT. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren and a sister Roberta Gay (Owen) Gunnell of Soda Springs, ID. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers and four nieces.
Family would like to thank the Caregivers of Hospice for their love and support.
Services will be held on Wednesday, September 5 at Noon at the Grace LDS Stake Center. Family will visit with friends on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home in Soda Springs and Wednesday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Church prior to services. Burial will be in the Turner Cemetery.
