Obituary

Fredrick Burt Barfuss, 71, of Bancroft Idaho was called home to his loving wife Anita Sue Davids on April 23, 2016. He was the only son and youngest child of three, born to Lee and Marelda Barfuss. Burt grew up in Bancroft and graduated from North Gem High School in 1963, and later attended Utah State University. Upon returning home Burt took a job with Sander's Furniture, laying carpet and married the love of his life Anita Sue Davids on August 17, 1967. They were sealed in the Logan Utah Temple June 13, 1969. They were blessed with 3 children. Burt started working for Monsanto in 1981, where he worked 25 years and retired in 2006. Burt was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His family was everything to him. He enjoyed playing darts for the Valley Dart League, wildlife, hunting and most of all guns. Burt is survived by his children, Daniel Dean (MaLissa) Barfuss, Pamela Dawn Barfuss, Nikki Jo'Lee (Bob) Welker, 8 grandchildren and another due in July. He is preceded in death by his wife Anita Sue Davids, his parents Leland "Lee" and Vivian Marelda Jensen Barfuss, and two sisters Ruth Adell Priestley and Karen Compton. Funeral services will be held Saturday April 30, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at the Bancroft LDS Church, 311 Main St, Bancroft, ID 83217. The family will visit friends on Friday April 29, 2016 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home, 139 E. 2nd S. Soda Springs, ID 83276 and also Saturday April 30th at the church from 10:30-11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be held at the Bancroft Cemetery following the services. Listen to service
