"Buster" Frank Reed Stoor, 84, passed away at his home in Wayan, on Monday, November 12, 2018 from complications with Pulmonary Fibrosis.
Buster was born August 17, 1934, in Soda Springs to Mathias and Sarah Elizabeth Lewis Stoor, as the youngest of ten children. His mother passed away shortly after he was born 3 months pre-mature, so dad was raised by Isaac and Meletha "Chat" Vias who was a friend to "Bessie" and was raised with their children.
Buster lived in Wayan his entire life, except for the 2 years he served in the US Army in France. He married Patricia Scott on November 10, 1967 in Chesterfield. For 51 years, they worked hand and hand on their cattle ranch in the beautiful Grays Lake Valley where they raised four children.
He is survived by his wife, Pat and three sons and one daughter: Gus and Missy Stoor of Clarkia, ID, John and Michele Stoor of Soda Springs, ID, Jim and Jill Stoor of Wayan, ID, and Ruth and Mike Gowans of Cedar Fort, UT. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by both sets of parents and all of his siblings: Lee, Bud, Lewis, Robert, Wilma, Farrell, Betty, Johnnie, Max, and also Oscar, Roy, Alfred, and Rex.
Services will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Noon at the Hooper LDS Chapel. The family will meet with friends and family on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home and on Friday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 am at the church prior to services. Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs with Military Grave Side Services.
