Calvert Floyd Preece, 76; of Soda Springs passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Calvert was born November 21, 1933 in Grace, Idaho the son of Aurther Peck and Elva Perry Preece.
He was raised and educated in Grace Schools and lived in Grace for 21 years and moved to Soda Springs in 1955 and has lived there all his life.
He married MaryAnn Woolsey on November 27, 1954 in Pocatello, Idaho.
Calvert was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
He worked for the construction company that built Monsanto and started working for Monsanto in 1952 and retired in 1992 after 38 1/2 years.
Calvert enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, taking his grandchildren out to ride horses and being with his family. He also liked Ford trucks.
He is survived by his wife MaryAnn and one son and one daughter, Roger Preece; Gayle Ann and JR. Liechty both of Soda Springs, ID; and four grandchildren, Brandon M. Liecthy, Amber Dawn Liecthy, Dillon J. Liecthy and Tiffany Glenn Lindsay; and two great-grandchildren Bret Ann Everding Liechty and Kory B. Liechty. Also surviving in one sister Joyce and Joe Barnes of Grace ,ID. He was preceded in death by one brother Frank Preece, one sister Ina Judkins and two nephews Kelly and Ralph Preece.
Services were held on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at Noon at the Soda Springs LDS Stake Center. Burial was at the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs.
