Carroll John Hildreth, 83; of Soda Springs passed away Monday, June 28, 2010 at his home in Soda Springs.
Carroll was born February 6, 1927 in Long Beach, California the son of William Scudder and Josephine "Josey" Burchfield Hildreth.
At a young age he and his family moved to Soda Springs where he has lived since.
He married Janiece Hayes on April 25, 1952 in Georgetown, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.
Carroll was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had served as Counselor in the Sunday School Presidency. He was a High Priest and Home Teacher.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, snow machining and wood carving.
Carroll is survived by his wife Janiece and a daughter-in-law Susan Squires of Soda Springs, ID and five grandchildren; Trevor Hildreth, Tim Eagler, Tylor Waters, Hailey Call and Emily Squires and also three great-grandchildren; Taydon, Gavin and Deon.
Also surviving is a sister Mryle Steele, two sisters-in-law Gladys Hildreth and Bonnie Hayes, a brother-in-law Hyrum Weighall and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son Jason C. Hildreth and three brothers, Lambert Hildreth, LaViel Hildreth and LaVern Hildreth and a sister Faye Evans.
Services were held on Saturday, July 3, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Soda Springs LDS Stake Center. Burial was at the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs.
