Charles A. Sharp, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at his home in Soda Springs.
He was born on January 10, 1940 in Shoshone, Idaho the son of Charles Earl and Francis Iona Turner Sharp.
He attended school through the 9th grade when he had to start working to support his family.
He married Regina Brantner, they were later divorced.
He married Patricia Ann Burk, they were later divorced.
He married Ida Arlynn Hammond, they were later divorced.
He married Lynette Roberts in Soda Springs, Idaho.
Charles worked for the City of Soda Springs in the City Maintenance and Street Department.
He was a Christian and knew and accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior.
Charles enjoyed watching birds at the feeders and watching for cotton tail rabbits and deer in the yard. Also enjoyed camping, watching WWE Wrestling, NFL games and westerns like Gunsmoke, The Virginian and Bonanza. He enjoyed visiting with friends and loved Country Music and was pretty good at throwing darts and playing pool.
He is survived by his wife Lynette Sharp of Soda Springs, ID, a son Charles W. Sharp of Challis, ID, a daughter Taunya and John McDowell of Challis, ID, and two step-daughters, Laura Gleason of Pocatello, ID, Gwen and Eric Andrews of Marysville, WA. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, and two brothers James Randall Sharp and Marvin Bennett Sharp, and two sisters, Darlene Marie Tretry and Melvina Grace Andrews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Marion Earl Sharp and a sister Patricia Ann Baxter.
Services will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Noon at the Sims Funeral Home.
Family will visit with friends on Wednesday 7-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home and also Thursday 11-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs.
