Christine Marie Sprague, 64, passed away on Wednesday October 11, 2023.  Chris was born on August 29, 1959 in Michigan, daughter of the late Richard and Helen Stuntz. She was raised in Golden, Colorado and graduated from Wheatridge High School, class of 1977. Chris attended Presbyterian St. Luke's School of Nursing and graduated as a registered nurse in 1980.

She married Scott Sprague on August 23, 1980 in Golden, Colorado.  They moved to Lake Charles, Louisiana where their first child Sarah was born.  A few years later, they moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where they had two more children, Laura and Logan.  In 1986, they moved to Soda Springs, Idaho where they raised their family. She was well known for her kind heart and compassion as a nurse.  Following Logan's death in 1995, she changed careers and went into the Subway restaurant business with her family.

Chris and Scott have spent the last 10 years splitting their time between Key West, Florida and Soda Springs.  She really enjoyed greeting customers and seeing familiar faces at Subway every summer.  Her personality was such that she never met a stranger and never forgot a face.  She enjoyed playing endless hours of games, spending time poolside, fishing, and attending Sound Check at the Green Parrot Bar.  She is a legend at the Shipyard swimming pool where she met many friends. Chris had an outstanding green thumb to both indoor and outdoor plants.  She had the ability to make tropical plants bloom in Idaho.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Scott Sprague and 2 children: Sarah (Ben) Onosko of Spokane, WA and Laura Sprague of Crystal River, Florida.  Chris is also survived by two grandchildren, Sawyer and Athena Onosko. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother and son.  In lieu of flowers or a donation, the family is asking to purchase a plant and tend to it in Chris' memory. A Celebration of Life Open House will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 10 am to noon at the Cedar View Supper Club west of Soda Springs on Highway 30.
