Clara Louise Archibald, 82; passed away Saturday, November 5, 2011 at her home in Soda Springs.
Clara was born on August 18, 1929 in Buhl, Idaho the daughter of Eri E. and Nellie VanZante Butler.
She lived in Buhl and Jerome, Idaho thru her High School years. She also lived in San Berdino and San Diego, CA for 3 years. She has lived in Soda Springs for the past 50 years.
Clara married LaMont Archibald on May 16, 1953 in Grace, Idaho.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had served in the Relief Society and Mutual.
She also was a member of Card Clubs, 4H and Professional Business Women. She enjoyed gardening, art, sewing and quilting.
Clara is survived by her husband LaMont, one son Steven Archibald, and two daughters, Cheryl and Brad Ford; Janet and Kyle Moore all of Soda Springs, ID. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Lillian Viner and Betty Taylor.
Services will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Noon at the Soda Springs 1st Ward Chapel (361 S. 3rd E.). The family will visit with friends on Wednesday evening from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home and on Thursday morning from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Church prior to services. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Soda Springs City Library.
