Cleone Caroline Perry Lloyd, 92; of Soda Springs passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at the Caribou Memorial Living Center in Soda Springs.
Cleone was born November 2, 1918 in Turner, Idaho the daughter of Charles Sylvester and Susan Annie Janes Perry.
She had lived in Alexander, Idaho; Wellsville, Utah; Hyrum, Utah; Providence, Utah and Soda Springs, ID. She attended school in Hyrum and Providence until the depression came.
Cleone married Alma Myers Lloyd on February 24, 1939 in Logan, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. Alma passed away June 22, 1974.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had served in various callings including Sunday School teacher, primary teacher and MIA teacher.
She was a wonderful homemaker and mother of six. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She was an artist and liked quilting, sewing, handiwork, and also enjoyed cooking, canning, swimming, baseball, dancing and exploring and learning new places.
Cleone is survived by three sons and three daughters; Alma Scott and Norene Lloyd of Kamiah, ID; Charles Kay and Stormi Lloyd of Aberdeen, ID; Perry and Cindy Lloyd of Soda Springs, ID; Frances Eugene and the late Layne Rindlisbaker of Blackfoot, ID; Ileen and Mark Lind of Soda Springs, ID; April Cleone and Scott Earl of Idaho Falls, ID.
She is also survived by 46 grandchildren and 105 great-grandchildren and a sister Phyilis LaVonne and Merle Petersen and two sisters-in-law Loraine Gregen Zimmerman and Dixie Perry. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents and also two brothers, Ralph Sylvester Perry, Jacob Clarence Perry and two sisters, Mary (May) Esther McBride, Afton Berniece Smith.
Services will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at Noon at the Soda Springs LDS Stake Center. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home and on Wednesday morning from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Stake Center prior to services. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs.
