Our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Connie Dale Dursteler Thomas passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Portneuf Medical Center on December 30, 2016. She was 58 years old. Connie was born on May 19, 1958 to Martin Dale Dursteler and Cora Lorraine Loveless in Burley, Idaho. She was raised and educated in Soda Springs, Idaho. She was active in the drill team and a member of the pep club where she played the flute. She was a teller for almost 20 years working for Ireland Bank and US Bank. She worked for a few different cable companies and she took over Mom and Dad's when her parents retired. She stayed home for the past 15 years to travel with her sweetheart. She married Sherwin A. Thomas on December 15, 1981 in Elko, Nevada. They raised their children in Grace, Idaho. She loved painting, sewing and had a passion for gardening in which she inherited form her dad. She loved spending time with her children and her most prized possessions, her 8 grandchildren. Connie is survived by her husband of 33 years, Sherwin A. Thomas, two daughters and one son, Melinda and Ozzy Beckstead, Candace and Adam Hulse, and Cameron and Lacie Thomas. She is also survived by her 8 beautiful grandchildren, Tyler and Issiac Langedyke, Katie, Kylie, Kallie and Mark Hulse, and Kasleigh and Harleigh Thomas, and by 4 brothers, Chuck Dursteler of West Valley City, Utah Dale Ray and JoAnn Dursteler of Wayan, Idaho, Dick Dursteler of Soda Springs, Idaho and Gary Dursteler of Bagdad, Arizona and three brothers-in-law, Wynn and Neta Thomas, Larry and Laurie Thomas all of Grace, Idaho and Ron and Barbara Thomas of Preston, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband's parents, and one brother, Donald, and a sister-in-law Linda Dursteler. Services will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the Grace LDS Stake Center. Family will visit with friends Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home and Thursday 9-9:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Burial will be in the Turner Cemetery. Listen to service
