Darrin Dockstader unexpectedly passed September 11th, 2024.

We will forever cherish our beloved "Butch". Some knew him as "Butch", "Doc", Brother, Father, and Husband.

Darrin Douglas Dockstader was born January 20th, 1968, in Soda Springs Idaho to Doug and Geneal (Baker) Dockstader. Doug had Blake Dockstader, Melanie (Dockstader) Jones, and Lisa (Dockstader) Stephens before he married Geneal. Together they had Stephanie (Dockstader) Hunter, Darrin Dockstader, Nicole (Dockstader) Mantua, and Scott Dockstader. Quite the houseful.

Darrin and the lot were raised in Grayslake area of Wayan Idaho. He attended Soda Springs High School and graduated in 1986. He went on to attend some college in Montana before enlisting into the Army. He served Uncle Sam well in those years.

Darrin went on to marry and have Taylor and Ashley Dockstader. When he returned to Idaho he met the love of his life Tricia Lindsay. Together they were married and had Jeffrey Douglas, Daniel Derek, and Lindsay Joe Dockstader.

Darrin is survived by his wife Tricia, his children Taylor (Tyson) Monk and their children Grayson Monk and Kaydence Monk, Ashley Dockstader (Colton) and their daughter Lainey Loertscher, Jeffrey Dockstader, Daniel Dockstader, and Lindsay Dockstader. He is survived by all but one of his siblings.

Darrin was preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law Joe Van Lindsay, his brother Blake, his nephews Derek Smith and Jared Smith, a few good dogs, a stubborn horse or two, and numerous other family members.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 8, 2024, at 12 noon at the Baily Creek Ward with viewings being held Thursday evening from 6-8 pm at the funeral home and Friday morning prior to the service from 10:30-11:30 am at the church. Burial will follow in the Fairview cemetery.
