Dee Wallace Johnson, 69, of Grace, ID, passed away Friday morning, December 28, 2018, at home with his family by his side.

He was born May 3, 1949, in Logan, UT, to Joseph Wallace and Muriel Nielsen Johnson.

He married Margo Ann Stoor on March 23, 1972 in the Logan LDS Temple.

Dee was raised in Soda Springs, ID. He continued to raise his own family here until 1988 before moving to Oregon where he lived in Hillsboro, OR for 26 years before returning to Grace, ID in 2014.

Dee enjoyed, among many other things, designing and building things. He loved welding and would building anything he could out of steel. He also enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren participate in sports and various other activities.

He is survived by his wife, Margo, and his seven children; Mike & Coral Johnson of Hillsboro, OR; Jeff & Aly Johnson of Soda Springs, ID; Wendy & Ryan Butler of Centennial, CO; Cindy & Steve Long of Hillsboro, OR; Brett & Joy Johnson of Hillsboro, OR; Joe & Ally Johnson of Blackfoot, ID; Scott & Jen Johnson of Blackfoot, ID; and his 20 grandchildren. Also surviving are his mother, Muriel Johnson of Bountiful, UT, brothers Reed Johnson of Soda Springs, ID and Max Johnson of West Jordan, UT, and sister, Karen Avalos of Stansbury Park, UT. He is preceded in death by his father, Wallace Johnson, and brother, Lynn Johnson.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019, at noon at the Grace LDS Chapel. Family will visit with friends on Friday evening from 7-8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home and on Saturday morning 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Church prior to services. Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs.
