Dewayne Wallace Hamblin, 89, of Carnation, Washington formerly of Soda Springs, Idaho passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018.

Dewayne was born on December 4, 1928 in Clearfield, Utah the son of Melvin and Della Arave Hamblin.

He was raised in Clearfield, Utah and moved to Soda Springs, Idaho in 1945. He married Anna Elizabeth Hines on June 7, 1949 in Paris, Idaho. She passed away on August 11, 2012.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954.

After working 34 years for Monsanto, he retired in 1988. Dewayne and Anna became snowbirds, spending winters in Gold Canyon, AZ.

Dewayne was a life long member of First Presbyterian Church of Soda Springs, ID. He was honored to serve in the Session for the Church.

He is survived by two sons and one daughter, Barry and Bonnie Hamblin of Abilene, TX, Brett and Pat Hamblin of Ogden, UT, Barb and Pete Lange of Carnation, WA. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Dale Hamblin of Clearfield, UT and Odell Hamblin of Sunset, UT. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Anna Hines Hamblin, one brother and one sister.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, January 22, at 2 p.m. at the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs, Idaho.
