Dick Dursteler, 64, of Soda Springs passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017.

He was born on July 28, 1952 in Cottonwood, Idaho the son of Martin Dale and Marjean Bennett Dursteler.

Dick served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam.

He married Shanna Wolfley on July 23, 1976 in Soda Springs, Idaho. They were later divorced.

Dick was an equipment operator and had worked and lived in Utah, Idaho, Wyoming and Nevada.

He was a member of the Union of Operating Engineers.

Dick enjoyed leather working, camping, gardening and loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by one son and one daughter, Damon and Sonja Dursteler of Soda Springs, ID, Dayna and Brett Moody of The Dalles, OR. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild and 4 brothers, Dale Ray Dursteler of Soda Springs, ID, Gary Dursteler of Bagdad, AZ, Chuck Dursteler of West Valley, UT, Joe Roper of Brigham City, UT and two sisters Karen Vanderhoof of Brigham City, UT and Marlene Spendlove of Brigham City, UT. He was preceded in death by his mother Marjean Bennett and Cora Dursteler and father Dale Dursteler and a brother Donald Dursteler and sister Connie Thomas.

As he requested, he was cremated and Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, April 8, at 11 a.m. at the Sims Funeral Home. Family will visit with friends on Friday evening from 7-8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home.
