Dixie Ledbetter, 70, of Soda Springs, passed away peacefully at her home on October 5, 2023. She was born November 12, 1952, in Kokomo, Indiana, the first daughter of Homer and Irene Ledbetter. After moving to various places growing up, she graduated from high school in 1970 in Orofino, Idaho. She went to cosmetology school in Lewiston, Idaho, and received her license in 1971. She moved to Coeur d'Alene and worked as a beautician. Dixie moved to Soda Springs in 1976 to be closer to family after her father became ill. She worked as a beautician and got her secretarial certificate at ISU College of Technology. She later worked at Stauffer Chemical, Beker, Kerr McGee and Tronax before retiring.

Dixie loved her home and friends, but most of all, her family, family gatherings, holidays and dinners. She was a devoted daughter, sister, sister-in-law, and aunt. She suffered with health issues a lot of her life, but she was always such a positive, giving and kind person to everyone. She had a spirit for life and was a fighter to the end. Her smile will be missed.

She is survived by her sister, Donna Ledbetter (Soda Springs), brother, Randy (Chris) Ledbetter (Soda Springs), nephew, Garrett Ledbetter (Soda Springs), and niece, Haley Ledbetter (Pocatello). She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Irene Ledbetter. Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023, at noon at the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs, Idaho. Family and friends are welcome to a light luncheon in the basement of the Catholic Church following the services.
