Don Paul Jenkins, 86 passed away on October 1, 2023, at his home in Niter, Idaho. He was born December 13, 1936, in Logan Utah. He was the only living child of Donald Thomas Jenkins and Lydia Sena Rasmussen. Lydia remarried to Frank Thomas after Donald passed away at a young age. They had three more children, Mark, Howard, and Kathleen.
After Paul graduated from Grace High School, he served a mission for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Copenhagen Denmark mission. Upon his return, he married Marie Prescott in the Logan Utah temple on February 17, 1961. They had five children together: Kristi, Donald, Audrey, Justin, and Jon.
Paul worked many years on his dairy farm. He worked at Monsanto and as the Weed Supervisor for Caribou County. Paul loved his country and his community. Paul served in the Army National Guard. He also served many years in various church callings. Paul also volunteered as an EMT, which he did for twenty-five years.
Some of his greatest accomplishments were him being a father and grandfather. He loved his neighbors and was always eager to share his famous crazy cake with everyone he knew. Paul loved being in the Gem Valley and that is where he lived and where he passed away.
Funeral Services will be Thursday at 12 noon at the Williams LDS Chapel in Niter, with a viewing prior from 10:30-11:30 am. Burial will follow in the Grace Cemetery.
