Donald "Don" LeRoy Frisk, 88, of Provo, Utah passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2015 at his home. Don wan born on March 19, 1927 in Log Angeles, CA the son of Levi Omar and Mabel Martinson Frisk. Following high school he joined the Merchant Marines and served during WWII. He was sealed to Patricia Frisk in the Los Angeles Temple on August 24, 1966. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Don was a gentle giant of a man, who was known for his kindness and humility. He was devoted to his wife Pat; theirs was a true love story. Don was a loving father and grandfather. Parkinson's disease slowly took away his physical abilities, but he always had a smile, remaining positive and uncomplaining throughout. He is survived by his wife Patricia of Provo, UT, and four daughters, Donna (Steve) Blocksage of Simi Valley, CA, Bonnie (Terry) Dombrowski of Mt. Shasta, CA, Gaye (Sergio) Lub of St. Helena, CA, Jill (Kevin) Norton. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren and one sister Darlene Mill of Palm Springs, CA . There were many people who helped make Don's last weeks as comfortable as possible, and while they can't all be named, Jim and Brenda Weiningar and Marlene Oaks were always there for Don. Especially wonderful was the tender care given by Carmen Riviera, Don's hospice nurse. Funeral will be held Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at noon in the Foothills Ward chapel at the corner of Canyon and Foothill drives in Provo. Family will visit with friends Wednesday morning from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Church prior to services. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs, Idaho. Don lived to serve others.
