Donna Clarke Banks Holbrook, 84, of Chesterfield, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2008 at the Caribou Memorial Hospital in Soda Springs.
She was born December 19, 1923 at Newton, Utah the daughter of Leo Joseph and Veneta Vella Jenkins Banks.
Donna had lived in Ivins for 18 years; Bruneau and Gooding for one year each, Bancroft for 6 months and Chesterfield for 58 years. She had attended the University of Idaho South Branch in Pocatello and received her Bachelors Degree from Utah State University in Logan, Utah.
She married Lafayette "Lafe" Junior Holbrook, October 29, 1949 at Ivins, Idaho.
Lafe passed away May 14, 1992.
Donna taught school in Bancroft, Bruneau and Gooding Idaho.
She was a member of the Chesterfield LDS Ward. She had served in the Relief Society Presidency.
Donna was a member of the Caribou County Cowbelles, Idaho Cowbelles, American Legion Auxiliary and the Bancroft Pinochle Club.
She enjoyed her family, grandchildren, cooking and her friends.
Donna is survived by 5 sons and their spouses; Lafayette J and Debbie Holbrook, Grangeville, ID; Marc L Holbrook, SLC, UT; Todd C and Julie Holbrook, Chesterfield, ID; Tracey B and Jerri Holbrook, Pocatello, ID and Jonathan W and Cynthia Holbrook, Aubury, CA. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren 3 great-grandchildren and a brother, Joseph and Joyce Banks, Ivins, ID.
She was also preceded in death by a brother Floyd Banks, and step-mother Louie Banks.
Funeral Services were conducted on Monday, August 11, 2008 at Noon at the Chesterfield LDS Chapel with Bishop Grant Simons officiating. Burial was in the Chesterfield Cemetery.
