IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Donna Jeane
Mccullough
June 26, 1962 – November 12, 2019
Donna Jeane Jackson McCullough went to be with Jesus on November 12th, 2019.
Donna was born on June 26, 1962, in Pasadena, Texas, the second child of Donald Eugene and Coeta Mae Eagon Jackson. She has an older brother, Dennis Jackson. Donna was seven years old when her mom passed away in April of 1970. Her father later remarried Margaret Austin bringing to the family another brother for Donna, Allen Jackson. The family soon settled in Houston, where Donna spent the remainder of her childhood while also enjoying many summers in Shattuck, Oklahoma with her Aunt NeeNee and Uncle Robert.
Donna's family moved to Santa Fe, Texas, in 78' where she graduated from high school with the class of 1980. She then attended college, worked, and met the handsome guy with the corvette two doors down. On March 5, 1983, she married Marty McCullough. They relocated from Texas to Idaho, where they went to work remodeling the old Victorian house on the corner that Donna loved. Together they raised one son, Don-Michael, and four daughters, Krissy Lynn, Kaylee Jeane, Geneva Joe, and Kathryne Jayne. What Donna treasured most in life was being a mom, and she was good at it.
Being a devout Christian, Donna had a passion for spreading the Good News of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Many people will remember her for the heartfelt conversations she had with them. Whether at a basketball game, the grocery store, sitting at the hospital or in her living room, she wouldn't hesitate to tell people about Jesus. She also continually found a way to impact her community. Donna organized a chili lunch outreach for the local high school students for many years. She loved and supported the Soda Springs schools, students, teams, and teachers. She honored the memory of her son by sending thousands of Christmas Shoeboxes, through Samaritan's Purse, to underprivileged children around the world. As her physical ability to get out in the community diminished, she continued her ministry by texting daily Bible readings to dozens of friends and family members. Donna was a member of the Open Arms Assembly of God Church and loved her church family very much.
Donna was preceded in death by her father, mother, and her son Don-Michael. She is survived by her husband Marty, her children; Jason (Erin) Lee, Krissy (Brody) Gibson, Jaclyn (Kyle) Lester, Kaylee McCullough, Genny (Jarron) Wright, and Kat McCullough, her brothers Dennis (Debbie) Jackson and Alan (Hadley) Jackson, her three granddaughters Coeta, Clara, and Ellsie Gibson and her three grandsons Braelon and Jaeden Lee and Royce Michael Lester. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019, at the High School Auditorium at 1 o'clock p.m. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home and on Saturday from 11:30-12:30 p.m. at the high school prior to the services. Burial will be in the Fairview cemetery in Soda Springs.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Donna's memory to the Soda Springs Food Bank.
