Dorian M. Jenkins, 62; of Bancroft passed away Monday, April 11, 2011 at the Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello.

He was born July 29, 1948 in Soda Springs, Idaho the son of Jay Dell and Doris Jean McNealy Jenkins.

Dorian graduated from North Gem High School in 1966.

He served in the United States Air Force in Korea during the Viet Nam War.

Dorian was an active member of the Bancroft Lions Club and had also been the Fire Chief and Assistant Fire Chief for the Bancroft Fire Department. He worked for Crop Production Services in Bancroft and owned HangnJ Construction.

He loved classic cars and was a "Jack of All Trades". He enjoyed music and playing his guitar and trumpet.

He is survived by the love of his life, Karen Murray, one son and three daughters, Jay William Jenkins of Caldwell, ID; Raylee (Bryant) Barber of Caldwell, ID; Wendy (Cory) Dudley of Twin Falls, ID; Cherie (Nick) Roberts of Bancroft, ID. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren on the way, his parents Jay Dell (Velma) Jenkins of Bancroft, ID; Doris Jean (Hyrum) McLain of Bancroft, ID; two brothers Mike (Penny) Jenkins of Rigby, ID; Marlon Jenkins of Bancroft, ID; two sisters, Trish (George) Hulse of Bancroft, ID; Cathy Baker of Soda Springs, ID. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Services will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Noon at the Bancroft LDS Ward Chapel. The family will visit with friends on Monday evening from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home in Soda Springs and on Tuesday morning from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Church prior to services. Burial will be in the Lund Cemetery.
