Obituary

Dorothy Ann Steele Izatt, 67, of
Pocatello, passed away Sept. 30,
2010 at the Pocatello Care and Rehabilitation
Center.

She was born Oct. 22, 1942 in
Salt Lake City to Stanford H. Steele
and Edith Petersen Steele. She and
David Kelly Izatt were married
March 15, 1963 in Soda Springs.

Dorothy graduated in 1987 from
Idaho State University as an LPN
and worked in the nursing and
medical profession. She worked for
the Bear Lake Sheriff's Dept. as an
Emergency Medical Dispatcher, as
well as Caribou Memorial Hospital,
Developmental Options, and Hillcrest
Convalescent Center.

She had lived in Orem, UT,
Boise, Soda Springs, Sunnyvale,
CA, Weiser, Montpelier, Lava Hot
Springs, and Pocatello.

Dorothy was a Girl Scout Leader
and her hobbies and interests included
her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren,
reading, crossword
puzzles, jeep racing, and was a
member of the Hells Canyon Four-
Wheeler club. While attending
high school in Boise, she excelled
at debate and drama, and continued
her enjoyment of drama and the
performing arts in college at ISU.
One of her joys was the ocean along
the Oregon Coast and she spent as
much time there as possible.

Survivors include her husband,
David Kelly Izatt, Pocatello; a
daughter, Jami Lynn Izatt Greene,
Pocatello; three grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren; her mother,
Edith Petersen Steele, Soda Springs;
and two brothers, Boyd J. Steele,
Eugene, OR, and Mark and Wendy
Steele, Soda Springs.

She was preceded in death by her
father, Standford H. Steele, and a
great-granddaughter, Kasandra Marie
Greene.

At her request no formal services
will be held and her wish was to be
cremated, with her ashes to be scattered
in the ocean along her beloved
Oregon Coast.

Cremation services were under
the direction of Sims Funeral Home
and condolences may be made to

She will be missed.
