Douglas Laverl Williams, 81, of Pocatello, formerly of Grace, passed away Monday Aug 1 2011 at home.
He was born June 30, 1930 at Grace, Idaho the son of Brigham Willard and Emily Marrette Harris Williams.
He married Florene Harris March 5, 1948 at Paris, Idaho. They were later divorced.
He married Carolyn Karvinen, March 8, 2000 at Idaho Falls, Idaho.
He graduated from Grace High School; had also lived in California, Idaho Falls, Idaho and in Pocatello since 2004.
He was a High Priest in the Pocatello LDS 12th Ward.
Douglas enjoyed wood working. He was Service Manager at KUBOTA, retiring in 1996. He had also worked for Corp Express in Idaho Falls and Muffler Express in Pocatello.
Douglas is survived by his wife Carolyn, of Pocatello; 2 sons: Brad and Carol Ann Williams of England; Kent Williams of Rock Springs, WY; a daughter Patty and Terry Wilson, Twin Falls, ID; a step-son Viljo Karvinen, of Ark; 4 step-daughters; Rebekka Price, Wilder, ID; Tiina Williams, Lahti, Finland; Raydene and Roy South, Idaho Falls; and Gaylene and Mark Verdoorn, Mission Viejo, CA. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren 3 sisters; Lois Beers, Boise, ID; Marilyn McBride, SLC, UT, and Jean Nuttall, Cortez, CO. He was preceded in death by a son, a daughter and 3 brothers Grant, Blain, Harris and 2 sisters; Fae Stoddard and Ailleen Adams.
Funeral Services will be conducted at Noon at the Grace LDS Stake Center on Monday, Aug 8th. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to services. Burial will be in the Grace Cemetery.
