Ross Edward Stewart died peacefully Saturday, March 23, 2013.
He was born in Sloan, Iowa in 1930 and later moved to
Pocatello, Idaho. He served in the United States Marines
in WWII.
He returned to Pocatello, where he met and married his
wife Geraldine "Jerie" in 1962. They had a son, Scott Raymond
Stewart in 1963.
Ed was a professional drywaller. He worked for several employers
in the Pocatello area and then went into business for himself. He was
a very hard worker and worked well into his seventies.
He was very athletic and in his younger years played minor league
baseball. He loved playing golf, going fishing and hunting. He was an exceptional
bowler and scored many 300 games.
Ed is proceeded in death by his parents Ray and Rose Stewart,
his wife Jerie, and a daughter Lisa Archibald.
He is survived by his brother Melvin (Velma) Stewart, a sister
Emma Jean Bollinger. His children Tedie (Jess) Staat, Rory (Lois)
Stewart, Scott (Bridgett) Stewart and a son in law Steve Archibald.
Grandchildren Angie (Dustin) Godrey, Randy (Dorice) Archibald,
Veronica (Jeff) Bennett, Christopher Stewart, Jordan Stewart,
Pirmin Engeler and Hadley Stewart. Great grandchildren
Morgan Kimmell, Maya Archilbald, Bryson, Bradly and Kaydance Bennett,
Cale and Kaylee Stewart.
A Memorial Service will be held April 1, 2013 at the Sims Funeral Home
in Soda Springs, Idaho at 1:00 p.m.
