Obituary
Eddie Eugene Weighall, 61; son of Hugie Eugene and Ora Hoff Weighall, returned to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, October 18, 2009.
Eddie was born in Soda Springs, Idaho on January 22, 1948. He grew up in Soda and attended school until the 11th grade. He was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was ordained a Teacher.
He joined the US Navy in 1964 and was assigned to aircraft carrier USS Coral Sea where he received his GED. He served six years and was honorably discharged in 1971. Upon returning he married Kay Vesper and then divorced and married Pat Godfrey in 1974 and they had a son Ricky Eugene Weighall. They were later divorced. He married Lydia Sherman in 1998.
Eddie loved to water ski, fish, latch hooking, wood working, horticulture and truck driving.
He is survived by his mother Ora Hoff-Weighall of Soda Springs; a sister Connie Jean Ward of Bancroft, ID; a brother Donell Weighall of Soda Springs, ID; his son Ricky Eugene Weighall of Boise, ID; numerous nieces and nephews and one goddaughter. He was preceded in death by his wife Lydia, his father Hughie Weighall and Grandparents.
Services were held on Friday, October 23, 2009 at Noon at the Soda Springs 5th Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Georgetown Cemetery with Military Grave Side Services.
