Obituary

Eileen Alice Immig Drummer, 74, passed away on January 24, 2017 in Pocatello, Idaho. She was born on July 1, 1942 to William James and Eileen Elizabeth Kinney Immig in Buffalo, New York. Eileen lived in Buffalo until she was thirteen. She moved to Richmond, Virginia where she finished school and went to work for Richmond Life Insurance Company in the accounting department until securing a job with the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company, also in the accounting department. In 1963, at the age of 21 she moved to St. Petersburg, Florida and worked for St. Petersburg Federal Savings and Loan. She married John Louis Drummer on November 12, 1965 in St. Petersburg. They have been married for over 51 years. They have two children: John Daniel (Shellie) Drummer of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Debra Eileen (Jack) Daniels of Soda Springs, Idaho. They have four grandchildren: Devin John and TeAnna Marie Drummer; Jaclyn Eileen and Cheyenne Marie Daniels. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Eileen was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church. She worked for the Soda Springs School District for 25 years. She retired in 1997. She worked part time at the Soda Springs City Library. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for over 50 years. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially with her grandchildren. She enjoyed tying quilts and working in the yard. Eileen is survived by her husband, children and grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Robert E. (Neda) Immig of Aurora, Colorado; Edward C. (Gloria) Immig, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; brother in-law David Droppleman of Richmond, Virginia; and sisters in-law Deborah Immig of St. Petersburg, Florida and Judy Immig of Clearwater, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, William J. Immig, Charles F. Immig and a sister Patricia Droppleman. Services will be held Friday, Feb. 3, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Soda Springs. A rosary will be held Thursday evening at 6 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home with visitation from 7-8 p.m.
