Elnora Beatrice Reese Vonberg, 92; of Soda Springs passed away Saturday, October 16, 2010 at the Caribou Memorial Living Center in Soda Springs.
Elnora was born February 28, 1918 in Vancouver, Washington the daughter of Albert John and Mary Beatrice Petersen Reese.
She had lived in Vancouver, Washington; Wayan, Idaho; Wapello, Idaho; Idaho City, Idaho and Soda Springs, Idaho.
Elnora married Archie Merle Vonberg on June 19, 1936 in Soda Springs, Idaho. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Archie passed away on December 6, 1991.
She attended Soda Springs High School. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had served as Ward Missionary, Primary President, Sunday School Secretary and Relief Society Visiting Teacher.
Elnora enjoyed gardening, crafts, crocheting and embroidering many afghans, towels, hot-pads, pillows and other craft items. She loved to bake rolls and bread for her neighbors and friends.
She is survived by two sons and two daughters; Merle John and Gail Vonberg of Churchville, NY; Even Orville and Eleanor Vonberg of Boise, ID; Rose Mary Vonberg and partner Maria Carlos of Poulsbo, WA; Gloria Day and Kenneth Bird of Paris, ID.
Also surviving are 23 Grandchildren, 47 Great-Grandchildren, 10 Great-Great-Grandchildren; one sister, Lucille Helen and Walter Hirsbrunner, of Soda Springs, ID; and two sisters-in-law, June Humphrey of Elko, NV; Mamie Bowman of Coeur D' Alene, ID. She was preceded in death by her husband Archie Reese, a daughter Jean Walker, two brothers, John and Ray Reese.
Services were held on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Noon at the Soda Springs 1st Ward Chapel (361 South 3rd East). Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs.
