Obituary

“To think, the first thing he saw when he opened his little eyes was the face of Jesus.”

Emersyn Smith

Our precious little boy, Emersyn, was born sleeping at full term on October 27, 2026, to his loving parents Kaden and Charlene Smith of Soda Springs, Idaho. Though his time on earth was heartbreakingly short, he was loved long before we ever got to see his sweet face, and he will be loved for all eternity.

For months we dreamed about meeting him, wondered what he would look like, and imagined all the memories we would make together. We prepared for his arrival with excitement and anticipation, never imagining that our first moments together would also be our goodbye.

We are grateful for the precious time we were given to hold Emersyn, kiss his sweet face, and simply be his parents. Those moments will be forever treasured. Although we wish with all our hearts that we could have brought him home, we will forever cherish the time we had with him.

Emersyn leaves behind three very special big brothers, Coleivyn, Jamysyn, and Taegyn, who will always have a little brother to love and remember. His place in their family and in all of our hearts, can never be filled or forgotten.

We may never fully understand why his time with us was so brief, but we find comfort in the knowledge that families are forever, and that one day we will be reunited with our sweet boy. Until then, we will hold on to that promise and the hope of holding him again.

Emersyn, you were wanted, you were cherished, and you were loved beyond anything words could ever express. You are our sunshine. You may not have taken your first steps here, but you have left footprints on our hearts that will last forever.

You were ours before we met you, ours while we held you, and ours for all eternity.

We love you, sweet Emersyn. Until we meet again.
