Eric John Ruud, 49, of Lago, Idaho, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016 of complications after a long battle with crohn's disease.
He was born, September 28, 1966 to Boyd A Ruud and Jane Mickelson of Lago, Idaho.
He attended Thatcher Elementary and graduated from Grace High School with high honors. He obtained his Eagle Scout, and served as an LDS missionary in the Argentina mission.
Eric received a full-ride scholarship to DeVry University in Phoenix, Arizona where he graduated in Electronics Engineering with honors. There he met the love of his life, Carol Lee Brundage. They were married and sealed for time and all eternity in the Mesa, Arizona temple, March 17, 1990.
After graduation Eric worked in the computer industry in Arizona, Utah and Idaho. He started his own computer business, Easyway Pro., eventually moving back to Grace, Idaho with his wife and four children.
Eric was kind, funny, and intelligent. He loved snowmobiling, and spending time with family, especially on holidays. He enjoyed cooking and teaching the gospel to others.
Eric is survived by his wife, Carol Lee Brundage of Grace, ID and his 4 children, Tyler Boyd Ruud of Logan, UT, Shelby Lynn Ruud of Logan, UT, Austin James Ruud of Grace, ID and Katie Jane Ruud of Grace, ID, his parents, Boyd and Jane Ruud of Lago, ID, his mother-in-law Mona Lee Bigelow of Phoenix, AZ, and his 3 siblings Molly Ruud of Dillon, MT, Ginny and Rich Shuck of North Logan, UT, Robert Ruud, North Salt Lake, UT. He is also survived by loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, and many long-time friends.
Eric is proceeded in death by his beloved father-in-law James Dwight Brundage, Jr.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 19, at Noon at the Thatcher/Williams Ward Chapel in Niter. Family will visit friends on Friday 6-8 p.m. at the Church and Saturday 10:30-11:30 prior to services.
