Farrell Larain Stoor, 84; of Soda Springs passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at home.
He was born June 13, 1925 in Soda Springs the son of Mathias and Sarah Elizabeth Lewis Stoor.
He served in the Navy during WWII and the South Pacific.
Farrell lived in Wayan for 47 years and Soda Springs for 37 years.
He married Margaret Nelson on April 24, 1949 in Soda Springs and their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on July 2, 1963.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Farrell enjoyed wood working, playing the harmonica, reading, yard work and was a fix it man. He loved animals and especially working with horses. He also enjoyed farming and ranching.
He is survived by his wife Margaret and three sons and two daughters, Brad and Brenda Stoor of Rexburg, ID; David Wayne and Lynda Stoor of El Mirage, AZ; Larry N. and Angela Stoor of Boise, ID; Margo Ann and Dee W. Johnson of Hillsborough, OR; and Cindy Le and Mark Ozburn of Soda Springs, ID. Also surviving are 28 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren, one brother and one sister, Frank "Buster" Stoor of Wayan, ID; and Bette Jean Douglas of Pocatello, ID. He was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister: E. Lee, Bud M., Lewis E., Robert W., Johnny D., Max D., and Wilma E. Stoor.
Services were held on Monday, October 5, 2009 at Noon at the Hooper LDS Chapel. Burial was at the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs with Military Graves Side Services.
