Obituary

Burke was born on March 28th, 1927 in Logan, Utah to William Murland and Cora Priscilla Godfrey. He was the third of six children. Burke attended schools in the Cache Valley area graduating from North Cache High School in 1945. He married Dorotha Alene Bowman in Preston on March 29th, 1949. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on January 29th, 1951. To their union they brought four children: Glenda (Edward) Abbott of Prescott, Arizona, Burke Lamont (Susan) Godfrey of Clarkston, Utah, Joy Ellen (Galen) Wilson of Soda Springs, Idaho, and Tonya (Kenny) Smith of Franklin, Idaho. Burke also has 16 grandchildren and 45 ½ great-grandchildren. Burke had three brothers & two sisters Montague, Murrie, Darrell, Janice & Linda. Burke has spent his life farming in Clarkston and also in Soda Springs, Idaho during the summer months. He also was a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, taking care of his cows, and playing practical jokes on anyone that he encountered. He was preceded in death by his parents, Murland & Cora, and brothers Montague & Darrell. Funeral services will be held at 12pm Thursday February 16, at the Clarkston ward building. Friends may call from 6 to 8pm Wednesday February 15, 2012 at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 S 800 East Preston, Id, and from 10:30 to 11:30 Thursday at the church in Clarkston.
