Obituary

Fern Lamont Murray Lloyd 103, passed away on January 9, 2017. Fern was born on February 4, 1913 in Mendon, Utah the daughter of Andrew Reid Lamont and Myrl Hardman. She married Earl Riggs Murray on October 29, 1930. They had two sons, Earl Lamont Murray and Sterling Dale Murray. Earl Riggs passed away on January 15, 1938. She married Kenneth Myers Lloyd on July 11, 1939. He helped raise the two boys and their new sister Gwenda Fern Lloyd in Grace, ID. Fern was hardworking, fun, feisty and cherished by family. A perfect homemaker, blue ribbon needle worker and primary teacher in LDS church; she was still dancing and rocking babies at 103. Fern is survived by one son Sterling Dale (Gwen) Murray of Bountiful, UT, and a daughter-in-law Joan Murray of Pocatello, ID. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 45 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, one son Earl and daughter Gwenda and one grandson Jon Glenn Sorensen and her siblings, Devere, John, Henry, Clifford, Alma and Mary. She leaves close friends and memories from Mendon and Wellsville, Utah; Soda Springs and Grace Idaho then later at Legacy House in Bountiful, Quail Ridge and The Gables in Pocatello where she made all who visited feel important and loved. Services will be held on Saturday, January 14, at 11 a.m. at the Grace LDS Stake Center. Family will visit with friends on Saturday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Church prior to services.
