Frances Ellen Day-Portillo-Saunders, of Spokane Washington passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 surrounded by her loving family in Soda Springs, Idaho.

She was born on April 12, 1929 in Newman Lake, Washington the daughter of Herbert B. and Amy W. Scribner Day.

Frances grew up in Chattaroy, WA; she resided in California while attending nursing school, she later lived in Ogden UT, Plains, MT and Soda Springs, ID. She was a Registered Nurse and Caregiver. She worked at Western Zirconium and Hercules.

She married Richard Seeman on March 14, 1946. He passed away January 30, 1959.

She later married Guadalupe Portillo on August 27, 1963. He passed away July 16, 2003.

Frances enjoyed being in the outdoors, camping, fishing and hunting. She loved to garden and to crochet and make blankets. She also loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved watching her boys play all sports. She spent the last few years in the care of her daughter Chela & grand-daughter (Ychel) where they would spend time feeding the chickens and going for rides.

She is survived by five sons and one daughter, Richard (Judy) Seeman, of Superior, MT, Larry (Sherry) Seeman of Spokane, WA. Mark (Jenny) Taylor of San Diego, CA. Chela (Dennis) Frankos of Soda Springs, ID. Damian (Jacci) Portillo of Brigham City, UT, Armando (Michelle) Portillo of Brigham City, UT. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren and two brothers Dan Day, Joseph (Carol) Day and one sister, Jean (Lyle) Baker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband's Richard Seeman and Guadalupe Portillo, her sister Beverly, a daughter Nancy Potts, 2 grandchildren Gary Mathew Seeman and Armando Portillo Jr.

The family would like to thank Alliance Hospice & Dr. Nita Weber of Idaho and her many wonderful friends of Soda Springs, ID.
